The email invite to go into the showroom to see H&M’s Studio collection has somewhat become the unofficial sign of Fall for me. The ‘kind’ kind though, the ‘Oh, we are about to enter the much anticipated knit season :)’ rather than the panic-like ‘Is summer over already, when did it even start?!’ So it’s all good and I encourage us to ask ourselves: What are the things that excite us this Autumn? It’s the chance of starting something new, something fresh - the new chapter. You 2.0. And although this comes from someone who has been idiotically sourcing the sales for floral chiffon dresses - knits and wool coats are back on my radar. Boots and preppy layers feel fresh and most importantly: Black is interesting again.
I suggest we make room for our H&M purchases this fall, with the much anticipated Erdem collaboration and a capsule collection with Colette around the corner. Kicking it all off with a fresh new Studio collection packed with a New York City flair. Graffiti prints and power tailoring to be exact, kind of like a love child of Scandinavia and the Big Apple. I’m investing, are you?
I still have H&M’s Studio pieces in my closet from years back. For some reason, they perform like my designer clothes.
