For any shoe lover, the revival of Valentino’s iconic Rockstud surely has not gone unnoticed. The brands SS21 runway gave us dreamy silk dresses, relaxed suited separates in hues of summer neons and of course the much talked comeback of the houses best selling shoes, the Rockstud. Presented in flats, sliders and comfortable kitten heels in the hight of a pandemic ridden season, the new and improved ‘Roman Stud’ sent social media to overdrive with divided opinions. The fashion crowd has since fully embraced the new super-sized studs, with currently 17 versions of the Roman Stud shoes on the market and that is excluding the bags, earrings and other newly launched accessories. Judging from the reveal of Valentino’s Pre-Fall collection, the Roman Stud is here to stay. From flats (there are a lot of flats) to cigarette heels and even wooden platforms, will you be getting a pair?

Valentino’s show focus was mainly on the ankle strapped flats and kitten heels, a style that seems cautiously optimistic for the current climate. However the demand for heels are growing, which is why you’ll find the Roman Stud in a wide selection of heels, from kitten to proper stiletto.
