Amina Muaddi, one of the most in-demand footwear designers in the industry, has given some of her signature shoe styles an update as part of an exclusive capsule collection created in partnership with Harrods

“[The collection is] inspired by my love for the exoticism of the Caribbean Islands and showcases some of my favorite styles – ready to be taken on your next getaway,” said the designer.

One of the styles in the new capsule includes the brand’s popular crystal-embellished ‘Gilda’ strappy sandals, updated with color-block red, pink and emerald satin, reminiscent of Caribbean sunsets.

The new collection will make its debut on December 18 and will be available at the Harrods Shoe Heaven where the brand will be hosting its first pop-up.

Not far from Muaddi’s space, Milanese label The Attico will also be popping up with a vintage-inspired corner stocking an edit of its va-va-voom feather and embellished pieces from spring 2020.

To celebrate the occasion, Muaddi alongside The Attico designers Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio spent an evening locked in Harrods trying on Amina Muaddi shoes, playing dress up in feathers, making pit-stops for patisserie at the famous department store’s food halls, posing with the Harrods door men – documenting it all for her Instagram crowd.

Harrods is one of many retailers across the world looking to partner with Muaddi and snap up her collections. In just over a year, the designer turned her eponymous footwear brand into a global success with stockists that include Net-a-Porter, Matchesfashion, Browns, Mytheresa.com, Saks Fifth Avenue and more. She has also amassed a legion of famous fans, Rihanna, Kendall Jenner, Paris Hilton and Rosie Huntington Whiteley included.

To make the most of the momentum around her brand – and herself – Muaddi has also recently launched her own site with a ‘Shop’ section that showcases her latest collections in their entirety and directs customers to the relevant stockist, depending on the style they like.
