CPHFW SS22: The Best Street Style Shoes

Welcome back heels! These were the most stylish shoes of Copenhagen fashion week.

Fashion week made a loud comeback in Copenhagen as happy guest finally had reasons to pull out their most statement worthy accessories. This season was colourful and unapologetic with previous seasons it-shoes , sneakers and cinderella pumps in high rotation, seamlessly paired with blazer, midi skirts and other Scandi staples.

PRADA’S POINTY PUMPS
The shoes from Raf and Miuccia’s first co-created collection made waves early on in the season and were naturally one of the most featured shoes on the streets of Copenhagen. The slingbacks comes in numerous candy colours and charms us with that perfect, modern kitten heel.

JEWELLEY SHOES
Rhinestones and diamanté embellished shoes have always been a fashion week favourite and this season was no exception. Minimalistic crystal details and colourful shoes were a recurring trend, perfect for dressing from the feet up.

ROPE DETAILS
Strappy sandals have long been a summer staple, however the modern take espadrilles comes in the form of lace-up rope sandals. This style works well in both flats and heels and gives any outfit an interesting break from the usual leather straps.

CHUNKY LOGO LOAFERS
Loafers have grown into a wardrobe cornerstone, this season they are chunky and logo-embellished. Every design house currently has a version, decorated with either a logo or signature hardware. More is more in this otherwise modest shoe.

GRASS GREEN
Optimistic, bright green – surely the colour of the season, especially when it comes to accessories. Bottega Veneta might have something to do with this (grass green is now their signature colour) but other shoe designers have caught up, too. Minimalists wore them as the one pop of colour, while more daring show guests opted for a wider range of colour blocking.

BEIGE LUG SOLES
Last year’s hero boots – the chunky lug soles have evolved from the most popular all black to a range of colours. The dominating new hue is beige and new neutrals and as we saw on the street of Copenhagen – with contrasting soles.

White sandals isn’t exactly a new trend, but it is a style that never seems to go out of fashion. Always appearing fresh, especially when worn with an all white outfit and a tan, perfect for warm summer days in the city.

FIRE TONED SANDALS
Magenta and tangerine coloured strappy sandals were a hit this season, paired with colourful dresses and skirts. Bottega Veneta’s success is inevitable, but there are other great brands making just as good alternatives. The surprising, best way to style red this season is with tones of orange and pink.

PVC PUMPS
PVC shoes has been a hit this season, so they were naturally a fashion week favourite, too. Apart from clear PVC, we saw rich colours, accompanied by embellishent and crystals. Amina Muaddi, Aquazzura and Jimmy Choo currently have the best versions.

BRIGHT TRAINERS
Colourful sneakers has long been a Scandi favourite and this season this comfortable trend stayed strong. Sporty brands has influenced even the most prestige designers as you’ll now find a notable version in most designer houses. Opt for sporty details and wear them dressed down with denim.
