One of Copenhagen’s favorite online personalities, Emili Sindlev, has lent her eye for bright colour and all things funky to Parisian footwear label Bettina Vermillon, known for her recyclable aluminium heels and customizable design approach.
The result is one of the season’s most joyful capsules, filled with classic shoe silhouettes, reworked in every colour of the rainbow: Think slingback pumps in pastel blue and bright orange; lilac rugged-soled boots that could add optimism to your winter wardrobe; and some pretty fierce heeled boots in glossy green leather or croc-effect blue.
Just like Emili’s approach to dressing – you’ll always find her in star-shaped earrings, color-blocked neon separates and dreamy prints – these are highly photogenic shoes to lift up your mood and make a statement. But if you’re more of a minimalist at heart, there are also black, white, and gray versions of each style.
Sindlev’s concept of the collection was ‘Future Nostalgia,’ echoing Dua Lipa’s hit album and aiming to take a trip to the future by looking at everything that’s been inspiring us from the past. It’s why the campaign features vintage cars and old-school cable phones, alongside the bright, glossy shoes.

The collection has already been making the rounds on Instagram with some of the more daring fashion personalities fully embracing the bright colours and even going one step further by creating pretty bold colour-block outfits. Pastel green and lilac, or head-to-toe turquoise, have been some of Sindlev’s favourite combinations so far.
The rugged-soled flat boots are also emerging as one of the most popular pieces, given their comfort levels, fashion credentials and ability to take you from summer to winter.
“I made these boots for all kinds of weather. Can’t wait to wear them with hot pants and a big shirt all summer long,” said Sindlev.
The shoes range from 450 euros to 590 euros, and are available to shop on Bettina Vermillon’s ecommerce platform.
