Comfort has become something of a non-negotiable in the world of modern-day footwear and Anna Baiguera launched her eponymous label with that mindset. Her ultimate goal: To create shoes that feel like “a second skin” without compromising on elegance and style.
The young Italian label is quickly becoming known for its mules: Sleek, square-toed, and available in eye-catching shades like deep purple, nude, or sky blue. They even come with vegan nail polish to match.
The fashion set quickly embraced the brand, with online personalities like Candela Pelizza, Tamu McPherson, Shini Park, and Géraldine Boublil – known as @erinoffduty on Instagram – seen in the mules.
For winter, Baiguera is also expanding her repertoire to include chic riding boots, mid-heels and playful ballerina flats.
Its sustainability credentials also make the brand stand out in the market: It only uses recycled or upcycled raw materials; its leathers are vegetable-tanned; the glue used to keep the soles together is water-based and toxic-free; and most of the production is done by hand in small artisanal factories in Italy.
“For us sustainability is a feel-good factor, and when you feel good, you look good,” said Baiguera.
The shoes, which are accessibly priced between 195 and 300 euros, are available to shop on the brand’s own ecommerce platform. If you’re looking for great everyday basics, to add a touch of feel-good colour to your shoe wardrobe, and to support eco-friendly brands, this up-and-coming shoe name is definitely one to watch.
