The newest name to know for shoes that are both sustainable and statement.
There’s a new name to know in the Paris fashion scene: Bettina Vermillon. Founded by Lorraine Archambeaud, this young footwear brand is all about a feminine sensibility and conscious consumption.
“Before I even designed my first shoe, I asked myself the question of the use of shoes as an accessory for sustainable living,” said the designer.
She went on to develop patented aluminium heels that are extra durable, recyclable and in line with her mission “to produce less but better.” The shoes can also be customized in the brand’s chic Parisian concept store, dubbed L’ Etage Bettina, which showcases the brand’s shoes alongside other emerging names.
Archambeaud made responsible choices in every aspect of the shopping experience she offers: She uses carbon-neutral delivery partners, recycled paper to wrap shoes and is also exploring the use of vegan leathers.
What’s better is that the shoes have the kind of fashion-forward, fantasy-fuelled look any footwear lover will appreciate. Think evening sandals with dainty crystal embellishments, statement boots in leopard print or a striking red patent leather and color-block heels. The latter already proved to be high-demand with the street style set.
Word on the street is that the brand has an exciting new collaboration in the works with buzzy jewellery label Timeless Pearly, so it’s definitely worth adding them to your feed to keep up to date with the launch and all the feel-good, colorful shoe candy Archambeaud posts on the regular.
