If ever you needed extra reason to add Browns Fashion to your follow list, its 50th birthday celebration taking place all over Instagram this week, is it.

The famous London retailer is marking 50 years in business with a brand new campaign that has just taken over its feed: Dubbed “Height of Fashion” it features friends old and new, sharing heart-warming stories about the pure joy of fashion, the clothing and accessories that make them feel like the best versions of themselves and the memories they have shopping at Browns.

You can follow along on IGTV and also take in the myriads of exclusives, created by designers to celebrate the retailer’s big birthday.

The good news is that a lot of shoes are involved: Aquazzura has created a leopard-print version of its signature lace-up sandals and a pair of slingback pumps featuring rainbow-hued pom poms; there’s also some sleek Givenchy mules and sandals embellished with the brand’s signature G-shaped hardware; a pair of minimalist Jil Sander mules featuring a cool curved heel; and new bold colorways of Manolo Blahnik’s satin Martini pumps.

In fact, Manolo Blahnik started his career working the shop floor at Browns and was nurtured by the boutique’s founder Joan Burstein or Mrs. B, a fashion fairy godmother to many designers at their early stages, including fellow shoe designers Tamara Mellon and Sandra Choi, as well as era-defining names like Alexander McQueen and John Galliano.

More exclusives are in the works for the rest of the year and early 2021, including pieces by designer-of-the-moment Amina Muaddi.

“Fifty glorious years and I’ve loved every minute of it,” said Mrs. B. “When I started Browns, my aim was to establish a boutique that created an atmosphere that would capture our customers’ imaginations and bring joy when they shopped with us. I also wanted to source individual and timeless pieces from all over the world that would become their personal treasures. I’m excited that [the team] is continuing to fulfil my dreams for Browns keeping it relevant. It remains the best place in the world to find that special something.”
