Fantasy heels have always had a special place in women’s hearts and shoe wardrobes: No matter what style tribe we might fall into, the giddy excitement we all get at the sight of a sparkly stiletto is a pretty universal feeling.
That’s why discovering up-and-coming names offering exciting new takes on the Princess shoe, is always top of the agenda. A By Anabelle is one such name: The young, Israel-based label offers an ultra luxe, feminine take on the fantasy heel with playful heart-shaped brooches, jewel-toned satin fabrics, and a signature A-shaped heel.
“Other than having A as my first name initial, it symbolizes beginnings and stability. There’s something so effortlessly stable in that shape: Two lines that emerge from a wide base and rise upwards. I was immediately attached to what it symbolizes. Those are exactly the values I want to associate with my brand,” said Anabelle Tsitsin, who has a fine art background and founded her namesake label almost four years ago, aged 23.
In addition to her signature heart-shaped styles, Tsitsin is all about experimenting and offering seasonal styles that get bigger and bolder every time. Highlights include the label’s ‘Elle’ feather-embellished heeled mules and the showstopping ‘Cosmopolitan’ color-block pumps, encrusted with crystals from top to bottom.
It’s a youtful yet very luxurious offer, with all the shoes being handmade by skilled artisans in Italy’s Parabiago area which is renown for shoemaking.
Prices range from 700 euros to 850 euros and are available on the brand’s own ecommerce site. If you’re a fan of Mach & Mach, Amina Muaddi, or Roger Vivier and looking for a similar style that’s not as widely available, these could make for the perfect add-on to your collection.
