Glamorous heels, pops of colour and lug soled boots with your fanciest party dresses – Guests put their best foot forward for PFW.
Chanel’s two-tone high boots in a category of their own.
With this mighty PFW street style report we wrap this unusual fashion week season. It was definitely quality over quantity when it comes to the best shoe spotting on the streets of the elegant city. Amina Muaddi’s colourful styles brightened up the pavements as guests opted for statements shoes and accessories with their otherwise monochrome wardrobe. Comfort also played a key role, but not in a sneakers’n’sweats kind of way, after all it is Paris.
Paris-based Muaddi has gathered an impressive cult following which could be seen in all their glory for fashion week. Pumps, sandals and mules, all with that signature ‘martini’ shaped heel which contributes toward a more comfortable shoe. Amina’s limited drops has a history of selling out quickly, however we’ve searched the web for a few styles still available.

You’ve heard this before, lug soled boots are the best thing to invest in this fall. Even the brands known for their most lady-like styles like Dior have issued their own versions. Wear them barelegged for as long as the weather allows, there is no wrong way to style your chunky boots this season.

Tone On Tone
Tonal dressing is that style secret that gives off a perfectly ‘put together feel’ whatever the occasion is. Choose warm tones to suit your skin tone, nude shades look best layered. Wandler’s ‘Lina’ boots tick off a lot of trends in one style; Slouchy and pointy with a contrast snake-embossed heel, these might be the perfect boots for the season.
SHOP NUDE BOOTS
The thought of plastic shoes might not sounds as good as they look, but that nude look sure has a seductive feel about them. Leg-lengthening and certainly unexpected, opt for Yeezy if you wan that minimal look, Gianvito Rossi and Amina Muaddi master the embellished, PVC shoes. While they might not contribute to a cozy feel, colder weather eliminates the uncomfortable ‘steamy feet’ look that PVC shoes sometimes creates.
SHOP SEE-THROUGH SHOES
Vintage shoes, or shoes with a vintage feel is definitely a trend worth mentioning. There is a certain charm about rare vintage treasures that will bring you joy way beyond that seasonal splurge. It requires a bit more work to hunt down that special pair, but you’ll thank us later. We recommend looking at Chanel, Prada and Dior for those retro pairs that still feel oh-so-modern.

SHOP NEON SANDALS
As seen in our big AW20 trend report, loafers are big news this season. Glossy and sturdy, that masculine look can be worn in numerous ways, socks and tights included. Minimalists might want to look for sleek, box leather shoes but the logo-embossed, hardware versions are just as good. Chloe and Prada is your go-to brand.
White boots have become a trans-seasonal favourite of ours, they always manage to look pulled together and fresh. Look for either slouchy styles to match your skirts throughout the seasons or a tightener pair for a more refined look – both styles are currently trending. Nicholas Kirkwood’s white snake-embossed boots really has it all, for a more everyday style, don’t miss Bottega Veneta’s latest addition.
