Finally some sunshine and we all know what that means –  bring out the sandals. Time to store the winter coats, thick knits and dare we say it, chunky boots. Well, the boots might still come handy for the next few weeks but it’s definitely time for that much awaited pedicure. The sandals of 2021 are both comfortable and stylish, may the kitten heels be our savour when it comes to stepping out of our home slippers. For those who aren’t ready for heels, fear not – studded slides and embellished strappy sandals are just as good and will serve your from park walks to city strolling. These are our picks for the best sandal styles of the moment.

Nothing welcomes the warmer weather quite like stepping into bright, dainty sandals. Make it kitten for an effortless ease out of your quarantine life, designers like Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo are currently nailing this style.

Not quite ready for heels? The chunky sandal trend from last season is still going strong and whether you are a fan or not, you will see more Chanel dad sandals on your IG feed in coming weeks. We like Valention’s 3D Rose sandals just as much as the new RHW/Gia sandals, look to Prada or Jacquemus if you want some subtle height to your platform.

In 2021, flats are the new heels and after a year of finding joy in ‘fancy sliders’, we aren’t mad that our collection is runway approved. Valentino’s new Roman studs might be the shoes of the season, but you’ll find other noteworthy version from Jimmy Choo and Aquazzurra, too.

Raffia shoes of the season aren’t espadrilles although that might be original inspiration for this timeless summer style. Bottega Veneta brought a whole new modern vibe to the woven shoe, their styles now come in numerous colours in both flats and heels. For a more relaxed vibe? Swap your leather sandals for a pair of Etro’s runway lace-ups.
